To discover in this box:
Sumac (45g), an indispensable pillar of Middle Eastern cuisine, sumac is the berry of a wild shrub that grows in all Mediterranean regions. With its lemony and tangy taste, sumac is a central ingredient in meat brochettes (lamb, veal or beef). It is also used to delicately flavour white fish, fresh cheese or poultry. In Lebanon, where its use is very common, Sumac is often combined with mint or sesame to enhance yoghurt-based sauces used with falafels. It is also used simply sprinkled on eggs.
Zaathar (30g). In our Zaatar (or Zaathar) mix, nothing superfluous, just the essentials: toasted sesame, sumac, oregano, and salt! It seasons your pizzas, grilled meat and fish, vegetables and salads and especially hummus (chickpea puree with sesame paste). Mixed with olive oil, it is also served as an aperitif with bread.
Cumin (35g), it is ideal for enhancing the flavor of cooked vegetables (tomatoes, carrots), legumes, simmered meats (couscous, tajines, chili). It is a very present flavor in the oriental cooking.
Golden sesame (20g). This toasted sesame is ideal to sprinkle on vegetables at the end of cooking or as a main element in pastry.
"Oriental flavors" spice mix (40g) with more than 20 different spices. Ideal for flavoring your sautéed vegetables, your simmered dishes, your salad dressings or your marinades.
